Nordic trio

Nordic Trio was formed in 1982 by singer Baz Rotham and drummer Ken Midgely. They mixed metal with rap combining their talents to form a unique style.

In 1987 they made their first album THE TIN SHED. It sold 4,300 copies in its first year and has sold 2,300 copies since release. They followed on in 1989 with GARBAGE MAN which sold 1,000 copies. In 1992 Max Mendez join as sax and Alan Woolcroft on guitar. Early 1993 they made the album TIME AND DEATH which sold 8,000 copies in the first year, a massive success for the Yorkshire band.

1994 - 2000

IN 1994 Alan Woolcroft left making Nordic trio the trio and Baz took over guitars again. In 1996 they released WOODCUTTERS REVENGE reaching 47 in the album charts a massive success for the group. In 1999 Menixa wast released, the 5th album under cuma recordings. It did poorly though only sellin 1,800 copies but they were still happy.

2000 - present

On June 21 2000 Max Mendez died after a drugs/alcohol overdose killing him in his London flat. They said they coud not replace him and hired a keyboard player Joel Pyke instead and released MY SAX MAN in 2002 a tribute album containing the song Rush which got to 42 in the charts.

In 2006 the band announced plans to release their new album MY HAIRY MAN in shops on January 7.
