Grant Stott

Grant Stott

Grant Stott is a Scottish broadcaster from Edinburgh, who until its demise in 2008 co-hosted "Scotsport" on STV, and is a DJ on Edinburgh radio station 97.3 Forth One.

Stott joined STV in the Autumn of 2006, to co-host "Scotsport" alongside Andy Walker, after the departure of Jim Delahunt. The programme was axed in May 2008, due to increasing competition from BBC Scotland's "Sportscene". He also used to present BBC Scotland weekend children's show, "Fully Booked" and the Scottish Television show Wemyss Bay 902101.

Grant is the brother of former television presenter John Leslie.

Stott is also known for his yearly pantomimes at Edinburgh's King's Theatre. In 2006, he starred alongside Allan Stewart and Andy Gray in a production of Cinderella. Stott also writes a column for the Edinburgh Evening News.

For many years he presented a BBC schools broadcast filmed in Scotland, "See You See Me". Many of the episodes were recorded with Wilma Kennedy. Episodes included studying maps, the Vikings, Romans, and the 1960s.

On Hogmanay 2007, along with Michelle Watt, Stott presented STV's "Hogmanay Live from Edinburgh", which was broadcast for 20 minutes 11.50pm. Earlier on the same night, Grant fronted a special programme, "50 Years of Scotsport".
