Steerpike were a band of small but relative merit in
Norwich in the early 1990s, The band came into existence in 1992 gigged in the area andLondon , produced several demos and appeared performing "Acrobatic Man"on "Backwater One" a 12 inch single featuring 4 bands namely Ivy, Spellbound and The Lemongrowers onNoisebox Records , a Norwich label run by Pete Morgan, who is currently one third ofBurning Shed . This resulted in radio plays on both the evening session withMark Goodier and the late greatJohn Peel show. The band also contributed "Hysteria" to "Now that's what I call Noisebox" a compilation of artists that had appeared on the Noisebox record label, and had interest from several record labels such as "dead good"The Band eventuallly split in 1994, after various problems emerged within the line-up
