- Brian Snitker
Brian Snitker (born October 1955 in
Illinois ) is the currentAtlanta Braves third base coach, he was named to that position onOctober 3 ,2006 replacingFredi González , who left to join theFlorida Marlins as manager. Snitker had previously been manager of theMyrtle Beach Pelicans ,Mississippi Braves andRichmond Braves , all in the Bravesfarm system . He was also the Braves Bullpen Coach in 1985 and 1988-1990. He has been in the Braves organization in many different roles since joining the club as a player in 1977.A few of his honors during his fifteen year run as a minor league manager is winning two championships with the
Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 1999 and 2000, in those same years he won theCarolina League Coach of the Year. He is a graduate of theUniversity of New Orleans and is married with two children. He makes his home inLilburn, Georgia .External links
