Bangalore School of Speech and Drama

The Bangalore School of Speech and Drama was founded in 2001 by Dr. Zulfia Shaikh, the only Indian to hold a double degree in Speech and Drama and Effective Communication who has also received an Exhibition Award in appreciation of her work. At the LTCL (Teaching) Diploma Exam, administered by the Trinity College, London in November 2006, she attainined an unprecedented 85%, breaking the world record that stood at 78%, making her the first distinction holder in this field, not only in India, but in the world. It is a drama training institute affiliated with Trinity College, London that prepares its students to pass Trinity's exams in drama and effective communication. Its students range from 5 to 20 years of age. The school puts on one major production per year; in 2006 they presented Peter Pan, which was presented on June 24, 2006.
