Aaron Bedard

Aaron Bedard is the lead singer for the American hardcore punk band Bane. He is known for his powerful, and often shouted, vocals. Before joining Bane, Aaron sang for Raging Hope, Worcester straight edge, then formed Backbone (with Chris Pupecki (Doomriders, Cast Iron Hike) and Dave Green(Cast Iron Hike)) and later played drums in Over Under. He is originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, but currently lives in Baltimore, Maryland. Aaron lives a vegetarian and straight edge lifestyle.

Outside of Bane, Aaron is interested in all forms of poker, and plays both live and online. His pet games are Texas hold 'em, and Seven-card stud, but he also enjoys playing Pot Limit Omaha and Chinese Poker. This poker interest is reflected in the lyrics of the song "Ante Up" (from the album "Give Blood"), but used as a metaphor. Aaron is also a Drum and Bass enthusiast, and has a very large collection of 12" records.

* Contributed a short story to of a book which contains poems, and short stories from prominent members of alternative music acts.

Trivia

* Aaron is one of the many people who does gang vocals for Shai Hulud as part of a group called The Fremen Warriors. He also provided guest vocals on the Shai Hulud song "Faithless is He Who Says Farewell When The Road Darkens".

* Is pictured in the background on the cover of "Break Down the Walls" by Youth of Today, which was released in 1986.
