KWCA (101.1 FM, "La Mega 101.1") is a commercial radio station in Palo Cedro, California, broadcasting to the Redding-Red Bluff, California, area. It airs a Regional Mexican format.

History

KWCA-FM played a variety of classic formats, including classic hits, classic country, oldies, and classic rock. It played mostly 50s, 60s, and 70s. It even threw in an 80s or 90s song. It never played music of today or a few years ago. This format is known as freeform or Adult Album Alternative.

On June 27, 2007, KWCA became Shasta and Tehama County's first Spanish-language radio station. It now plays a Regional Mexican format mixed in with a variety of Spanish Pop hits (PopXican format) and it is known as La Mega 101.1 FM, with some programming provided by Bustos Media's La Gran D Network, ABC Radio Networks, Univision Radio, GLR Radio Networks, and CNN news at the top of the hour.

KWCA's sister station is KBDB-AM in Reno, NV, also known as La Mega.
