This article discusses the structure of football leagues in the Czech Republic. These leagues are organised by The Football Association of the Czech Republic (ČMFS) ( _cs. Českomoravský fotbalový svaz).
League system
The highest level is also known as 1st league ( _cs. První liga) - officially Gambrinus liga. Winner and a club finishing on 2nd place are promoted from 2nd Division. To 2. liga (2nd Division) are promoted winners of ČFL and MSFL. So it's enough two clubs. Sometimes when two clubs are alighted to the same 3rd division (for example to MSFL), so from MSFL are alighted three clubs. (example: We have got two downward clubs from 2nd league - from Moravia - to MSFL. From MSFL will be promoted one club and three clubs will be alighted to Moravia-Silesia Divisions for the next season. Normally two teams from MSFL are alighted/from ČFL three clubs).
Winners of Czech Divisions (A,B,C) are promoted to ČFL and winners of Moravia-Silesia Divisions (D,F) are promoted to MSFL.
Winners of Regional Championships are promoted to Czech 4th Division. (Example: Winner of Prague's Regional Championship is promoted to Division A)
