Elliot Bunney (born
11 December ,1966 ,Edinburgh ) was a Scottish athlete who competed mainly in the 100 metres. He won the AAAs Junior championships in 1984, and 85. He was also a Scottish 100 metre champion in 85, 86, 89, 91,92, and 93. And also won 2 Scottish 60 metre indoor titles also in 92, and 93.He was also a AAAs Indoor 60 metre champion in 1987.
He competed for Scotland at the 1986 Commonwealth games where he was a finalist in the 100 metres finishing 5th, and won a Bronze medal for Scotland in the sprint relay team.
He competed for Great Britain in the
1988 Summer Olympics held inSeoul ,South Korea in the 4 x 100 metre relay where he won the Silver medal with his team mates John Regis,Michael McFarlane andLinford Christie .Elliot won the 1985 European Junior Championships at 100m (10.34 sec) in Cottbus (at that time East Germany) beating Andre Havas of Hungary with John Regis of Great Britain third.
His P.B in the 100 metres was 10.20.
Elliot was coached throughout his career by Bob Inglis.
