The following is a list of all light rail systems in the United States, ranked by ridership. All figures are average weekday unlinked (i.e. line transfers register as separate trips) passenger trips, unless otherwise noted, and come from the American Public Transit Association's Ridership Reports Statistics[American Public Transportation Association, [http://www.apta.com/research/stats/ridership/riderep/documents/08q2lr.pdf Light Rail Transit Ridership Report] , Second Quarter 2008.] for the second quarter of 2008, unless otherwise noted. Dates are given for all figures; the most recent available are used.
