"Street Hoops" is a streetball videogame released in 2002. The game has real life streetballers such as 1/2 Man 1/2 Amazing, Hot Sauce, and Headache, and is a less dramatic, more realistic game than "NBA Street", as the characters cannot jump completely over the hoop. Like "NBA Street", you can create your own custom baller, and play on real life courts. The game has 3 different modes: World Tournament, Lord of the Court, and Pick-up Game.

Game Modes

World Tournament

In this mode of gameplay, your team travels across the U.S.A to take on teams at various courts. During this mode, you can unlock new courts, secret courts, and better, more skilled ballers. You start with any available team, and playing in the already unlocked courts until you beat them and unlock new ones. This is the story mode of the game. It is advisable to place bets with the bookie while playing this mode, because you cannot unlock everything from winning. There are some things that you have to pay to unlock, and there are even more things that you have to beat the mode several times to unlock.

* Note: This is a 1-Player mode, with the ability to have other human players on your teams. However, the earning from this mode will only be saved to the progress of the first user. Progression through the mode is through the first player, as well. Other humans players merely serve as teammates from game to game.

Lord of the Court

Here you play the opposite of the World Tournament, in a way- you play as the home court and other teams come to challenge you. If you can keep everybody off your turf, you can unlock streetball movies and even secret characters. You can buy clothes too.

* Note: This is a 1-Player mode, with the ability to have other human players on your teams. However, the earning from this mode will only be saved to the progress of the first user. Progression through the mode is through the first player, as well. Other humans players merely serve as teammates from game to game.

Pick-Up Game

This is the exhibition mode of the game. You can choose to play either a full or half court game, on the court and with the teams of your choosing-provided that they are already unlocked through World Tournament.

* Note: This is the truly multi-player mode of the game. In this mode, every user on the winning team will earn $100 per game.

Cheats

In this game, you can receive cheats as you beat the game. Also, cheats could be obtained through Sprite.

tores

In streetball fashion, you can go to real life stores to get enhancements for your players. You can go to the Tattoo Parlor, Pawnshop-Jewelry Store, Check Cashing Store(bookie), Barber Shop, and Footaction USA.

Check-Cashing Store (Bookie)

This is where you make most of your money in the game. Before the game starts, you can place bets on various aspects of the game, such as:
* Winner
* Most points at half-time
* Most steals
* Most 3-pointers
* Most dunks
* Most blocks

, etc. It is important to be absolutely sure of your bet amount before you push the X button, to enter it. While you cannot bet more than you have, you cannot take a bet back. So, make sure that you don't bet all your money on "Most 3-pointers" when you mean to put them on "Most dunks".

Footaction USA

Here you can buy cooler clothes for your players. You can choose from 16 different clothing lines, all of them real:
* Ball 4 Life
* And 1

At the store, you can buy new shirts (from longsleeve, to sweaters, to shirtless), pants (from shorts to long sweatpants), shoes, headware (beanies and caps), and accessories (sunglasses, arm and wristbands, long and sort socks).

The courts featured in the game are all real-life courts.
