Kim Hirschovits (born
May 9 ,1982 inHelsinki ,Finland ) is a professionalice hockey forward. He was drafted by theNew York Rangers as their sixth-round pick, #194 overall, in the2002 NHL Entry Draft . He is 6'1" tall and weighs 183 lbs.Hirschovits started his playing career with
HIFK in the 2000–01 season, but his career took off in the 2005–06 season when he scored 40 points. Hirschovits then created controversy by signing with HIFK's local rivalJokerit following in the footsteps of coachDoug Shedden . Hirschovits's career includes a brief visit toNorth America in 2002, when he played six games with theChicago Steel of theUSHL .International play
