Bačkov ( _hu. Bacskó) is a village and municipality in the Trebišov District in the Košice Region of eastern Slovakia.
Geography
The village lies at an altitude of 198 metres and covers an area of 27.675 km².It has a population of about 620 people.
History
In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1320 as "Bacskov duo" (1321 "Bachkow", 1323 "Buchka", 1332 "Bachka") as Purustyan Castle family’s property. Afterwards it belonged to the Bačkov Castle, which in turn was the property of the Mikó family since the 14th century, the Rákóczy family and Stephen Bocskay. In 1688 the Bačkov Castle was destroyed by the Austrian army.

The village is 99% Slovak.

The village has a public library and a football pitch.
