Andy Kent

Andy Kent (Born Andrew Charles Kent) is the bass player for Australian rock band You Am I. He was born in Wellington, New Zealand and met up with Tim Rogers in Canberra to form You Am I. Allegedly, Kent was the band's live sound engineer prior to being asked to join the band.

During the band commentary on the "The Cream and the Crock" DVD, Tim and Andy mention that Kent was originally going to be the guitarist in You Am I, because of his level of proficiency. Ultimately he became the bass player.

In approximately 2004, Andy Kent took over the management of You Am I.

Andy has said that if he had not joined You Am I, he may have studied to become an Accountant.
