Tanja Savić ("Тања Савић") (born on March 20, 1985 in Radinac village near Smederevo, Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian folk singer. She became famous after competing on a first season of the "Zvezde Granda" television singing contest and making it into the final six.

Despite not winning the grand finale, her public profile was raised sufficiently for Grand Production record label to sign her to a contract. This led to debut album "Tako mlada" that turned into a major success, paving the way for a career that followed.

Background

The second child of Staniša and Živana, Tanja Savić has two siblings: brother Tomica, and sister Biljana. Musically inclined from an early age, she started entering various local singing contests at the age of eight.

In 2005, she saw the audition for "Zvezde Granda" as the perfect opportunity to showcase her talents in front of a professional jury and a large TV audience. She was not only selected to be on the show, but then also made it into the grand final with five other finalists. She ended up in thurd place. The first song she recorded with Grand Production, "Za moje dobro", topped the charts.

Her first album, "Tako mlada", was released in 2005. Since, she has "toured the world" (which in argo of the turbo-folk subculture means that she has appeared in Serbian clubs for Serbian and South-Slav diaspora) with the other five finalists of Zvezde Granda: Slavica Ćukteraš, Nemanja Nikolić, Darko Filipović, Bane Mojićević, and Stevan Anđelković.
