"I'll Be There for You" is a song by rapper Method Man. and R&B singer Mary J. Blige.

In 1994, rap artist Method Man released his album Tical which contains the track "All I Need". In 1995, he teamed up with R&B singer Mary J. Blige to record the song "I'll Be There for You", which interpolated elements from Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's 1968 hit, "You're All I Need to Get By" sung by Blige and used the raps from Method Man's "All I Need" and retitled "I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By". It is also known as "I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By (Razor Sharp Mix)".

Because of the elements used from the Gaye/Terrel song, original writers Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson were credited with writing the hip-hop soul-styled song, which went to number three on the pop charts and number one on the R&B singles chart, a position it held for three weeks. The version also ended up at winning the duo the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. Another version was released, called the Puff Daddy mix, which was produced by Sean Combs and repeatedly used a sample from The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Me And My Bitch" from his debut album, "Ready to Die". ("Lie together, cry together/I swear to God I hope we fuckin' die together")
