- Gey-Gel State Reserve
Gey-Gel State Reserve or Goy-Gol State Reserve ( _az. Göygöl Dövlət Qoruğu) of
Azerbaijan is a State Reserve of Azerbaijan that was established in 1925. The reserve is intended to protect the naturalecosystem of the sub-Alpine zones of the northern slopes of the Minor Caucasus. It has several times been deprived of its reserve status, but always restored later. Its fauna is rich with different species of animals, including
brown bear s,Caucasian red deer ,roe deer ,lynx , and birds such as thelammergeyer ,raven , andmountain partridge . The waters are well stocked withtrout .The reserve also contains over 420 plant species, including 20 which are endemic to the Caucasus region.
