Johan ("John") F. Svanberg (
May 1 ,1881 –September 11 ,1957 ) was a Swedish athlete who competed mainly in the distance events.He competed for a Sweden in the
1906 Summer Olympics held inAthens ,Greece in the 5 miles where came second. He followed this up by coming second in the marathon.Two years later he competed in the
1908 Summer Olympics held inLondon ,Great Britain in the 5 miles where he came third, and in the Marathon, in which he finished in eighth place.External links
