"A Night To Remember" was the fourth single from the album of the same name by Cyndi Lauper.

Lauper re-recorded the song for a promo released in the U.S. The arrangement is a little different, with the vocal less elevated than it is on the album edit. Lauper's restrained vocal lends itself to the lyric-contradicting melody, the idea of a night to remember is cancelled out by the downbeat reflection and her rather special, almost haughty vocals. The ballad begins with a glinting introduction before tempo is sustained into mid-pace, but is considered a flop and as a single only made a dent on the Australian Chart. Unfortunately, her commercial potention had appreared to have niped into hiding - but this description perhaps inadvertanly explains that such material just happened to betray the youthful concqueror hollered from the triumph of such hits as Girls Just Want To Have Fun or even the less 'darker' nature to the previous ballads such as the lush Time After Time or intrictately beautiful True Colours. Regardless, Lauper lamenting with such regalness helps the track remain a worthy addition to her cannon - the subtly more succint album version gets the thumbs up from most fans, but it is up to the individual listener to decide.

A music video was made of the song. It featured shots of Lauper on stage performing the song with her band as well as shots of Lauper on the beach.

The song is about a break-up where Lauper reminisces about the night of a painful break-up.
