Javelina Stadium

Javelina Stadium is a stadium in Kingsville, Texas. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of Texas A&M University–Kingsville formerly Texas A&I University also known simply as A&I. The stadium holds 15,000 people and opened in 1950. The Texas A&I (Arts & Industries) Javelinas (Hoggies) Football Teams won 7 National Championships in 1979, 1976, 1975, 1974, 1970, 1969, & 1959. Also, at Javelina Stadium, the Texas A&I Javelinas Football Teams also achieved a 42-Game Winning Streak - Undefeated And Untied from their Last Game of 1973 Through Third Game of 1977.

Javelina Stadium has a scoreboard with Porky the Javelina (facing left and right). Porky is the official mascot of the Javelinas since the 1960's and the Javelinas' most recognizable icon. Porky is also considered the link that connects A&I Alumni with AMK Alumni. The latest scoreboard which was first used in 2007 also has a videoboard. Javelina Stadium holds High School Football playoff games as well.
