Marcus Atkinson (born Warsaw 1978, as Marcus Wajda), achieved status on the European stage primarily for dance and then in America for theater and musical theater performances.

Taking his early training from Stevan Grebel (famous for the ballets of Pushkin), Marcus proteged under the master and performed in many of his original productions and standard classics.

After receiving a degree in dance, Marcus moved to theater performances winning acclaim for roles in "A Streetcar Named Desire", "Brigadoon", "Into the Woods", "A Little Night Music", and "The Ice Man Cometh". He won a dramatic best actor award for both the title role in "Leave it to Psmith" and "Someone to Watch Over Me".

Last residing in the Northwest, Marcus continues to teach at several Northwestern Universities. Some of his recordings can be found on original cast albums available in the United States.
