Varkala V. Radhakrishnan (born 21 August, 1927) is a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India and a former speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly. He represents the Chirayinkil constituency of Kerala and is a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) political party. Radhakrishnan is holding the Chirayinkil seat since 1999. An accomplished lawyer-turned-politician, Radhakrishnan hails from Varkala, and he represented the Varkala legislative constituency for several years. He is widely respected as a good lawmaker and parliamentarian.Radhakrishnan is an alumni of Government Law College, Trivandrum.
