Barranca de Otates

Barranca de Otates is a pueblo in Mexico. Its municipality is Zacoalco de Torres in Jalisco. The town has beautiful sights. One of them is called El Cajon. This is a waterfall of some 7 meters or more in height. The sight is between three mountains and there is only one way that the water can travel through. Another nice place to visit is The Peñas. There are large different rocks all contained within three walls. There's also the Barranca De Otates's River flowing through this site. The population is about 2000 citizens. This pueblo is too small to appear in a map. Most of the people in there, own horses and most of them are poor people. People around Barranca De Otates own land and grow crops there. The Agave is one of the most popular plants grown there. Corn and other maise is grown in there. Also in Barranca de Otates there's a folklorico ballet called 'Ballet Folklorico Itzcoatl'. This ballet has performed in many countries. Barranca de Otates also has two major mariachis one being Mariachi Sol Naciente, and the other Mariachi Juvenil Otates. The mariachis are small but they play rather well. The pueblo has two surrounding sister pueblos called Barranca de Santa Clara and Barranca de los Laureles.
