H. Stephen Larsen is a
psychologist and author who, with his wife Robin Larsen, was on the founding board of advisors of the Joseph Campbell Foundation [ [http://www.jcf.org/who.php Who's Who page on Joseph Campbell Foundation web-site] ] , and also founded the "Center for Symbolic Studies" [ [http://www.symbolicstudies.org/why.html Why Symbolic Studies? - from CSS website] ] , to carry on with the work ofJoseph Campbell . Larsen is a graduate of
Columbia University , (B.A., M.A.), andUnion Institute & University (Ph.D.). He is Professor Emeritus ofPsychology fromUlster County Community College (SUNY). He has trained with Edward Whitmont, M.D., Jungian Training Analyst, andStanislav Grof , M.D., as well asJoseph Campbell , M.A. LL.D., in the understanding of Myth andSymbol . For the last 10 years, he has been working closely with Len Ochs, Ph.D., innovator/originator of the LENSneurofeedback technique, and researching its potential.
