Enzo Di Pede

Enzo Di Pede

Enzo DiPede was one of the best goalkeepers to play in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL).

Di Pede won MISL Goalkeeper of the Year honors in 1981 as a member of the Chicago Horizon and later played for the Kansas City Comets. Born in Canada to immigrant parents from Italy, DiPede idolized long-time Italian National Football Team goalkeeper Dino Zoff as a young soccer player. "Ennnzzzoooooooo!" often rang out in Kemper Arena after one of DiPede's many saves wearing #00 for the Comets. DiPede lead a series of youth soccer camps in Kansas City with fellow MISL players Billy Gazonas, Gino Schiraldi, and Warren Green, training among others Chris Damico, who went on to play goalkeeper for the Comets in the new MISL. After retiring DiPede opened a bagel shop and catering company in Kansas City.
