Anilio (Greek, Modern: Ανήλιο, Katharevousa: -on, literally "without sun" in which is mainly received due to its large shadow of mount Pilio in which it blocks the sun), older form: Anilion is a village that is part of the municipality of
Mouresi , it is located about 8 km NW ofTsagkarada . It is in the eastern part ofMagnesia in the prefecture of the same name inGreece . It sits on the slopes of thePelio mountains. Anilio is located southeast of Zagora, north ofAgios Lavrentios and about 60 km east of the city ofVolos (Magnesia's capital). Tsagkarada is linked with the road linking withAgios Lavrentios and near Zagora. It stretches from north to south as well as residential buildings and are surrounded by forests as well. Its population in2001 was 465 for the village and 508 for its municipal district which includes Plaka. The altitude is 296 meters. It offers a view of theAegean Sea to the northeast. The area around Anilio are made up of forest to the east and the west while the extreme west features grasslands and the top of mount Pilio. The village was featured in a documentary about Mouresi as well as an episode of "Travelling in Greece ".ubdivision
