Overall, the two teams met 61 times. Denison topped the Bishops 9-8 on March 25, 2006 in Granville behind an overtime goal. The last five games between OWU and Denison had been decided by one goal. As of 2006, the Bishops lead the all-time series 34-26. Denison (9-5) made their second consecutive appearance in the NCAA men's lacrosse championship and their 14th appearance in school history.
