Kirk Logan

Champion fiddler, Kirk Logan, represented the Musquodoboit Valley in the Halifax Regional Municipality Nova Scotia at Old Time Fiddling Contests throughout Eastern Canada for over fifty years. He volunteered to assist the Board of Directors for the Bicentennial Theatre to organize an Ol' Time Fiddling Contest in 1996. At that first contest it was announced the contest henceforth would be named "The Kirk Logan Old Time Fiddling Contest." Before his death in July 1997 Kirk released a tape entitled Grandfather's Grandson that featured original material and demonstrated his mastery of the instrument.
