Ella Bay National Park
Ella Bay is a national park in Queensland (Australia), 1329 km northwest of Brisbane. Ella Bay National Park is where the ‘rainforest meets the sea’. A must see destinationin the shire for visitors it can be reached via Fly Fish Point on Ella Bay Road. Adjacent to the park are camping facilities provided by the Johnstone Shire Council. A well-kept secret for many years the park is a popular spot for both locals and tourists to visit.

Cyclone to hit the Innisfail region was Cyclone Larry (Category 4 before striking land) on the 20th March, 2006. Major damage to homes and other buildings was caused by Larry as well as extensive damage to local crops.
