John Preston O'Donoghue (bornMay 26 ,1969 inWilmington, Delaware ) is a formerMajor League Baseball pitcher . The 6'6", 198 lb. left-hander was signed by theBaltimore Orioles as an amateur free agent on June 28, by|1990, and played for the Orioles in by|1993.O'Donoghue made his
major league debut on June 27, 1993 atOriole Park at Camden Yards . He was thestarting pitcher that day against theNew York Yankees and he gave up 6earned runs in 6.2innings , includinghome runs byMike Stanley ,Jim Leyritz , andBernie Williams , as Baltimore lost 9-5.
