Edith Iglauer (or Edith Iglauer Hamburger, born 1917) is an American writer. She is the author of several non-fiction books, including "Denison's Ice Road" (1975), "Seven Stones", a profile of the architect
Arthur Erickson (1971), and "The New People: The Eskimo's Journey into our Time" (1966). She is also afreelance writer for "The New Yorker ," "Harper's ," and "Atlantic Monthly ".Iglauer was born in
Cleveland ,Ohio and educated atWellesley College and atColumbia University School of Journalism . Her interest inEskimo culture led her to travel the northern climates extensivley. Iglauer appeared as herself, along withJohn Denison , in theHistory Channel presentation, "Ice Road Truckers ".References
