Jonny Marray (born March 10 1981 in Liverpool, England) is a British tennis player who represents Yorkshire. As of June 2007, he is the 7th highest ranked player in Britain. Marray regularly competes in doubles competitions as well as in singles, pairing up with Richard Bloomfield, although he had most success with left-hander Mark Hilton. His career-high ranking is 215, achieved in April 2005. In 2006 he plummeted down to a world ranking of 570 before mounting an incredible comeback after reaching the semi-finals of an ATP competition in Orléans, France [http://www.lta.org.uk/Newsroom/GeneralNews/060918Rankings.htm?BSMGuid=1adb8bbf-5a68-4ac5-bd5b-14df7395af94] , before losing to Olivier Rochus.He subsequently qualified for his first ATP Tour event outside the UK in Stockholm, and the semi Final of another lucrative event in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. John's most famous match was likely his match against Lleyton Hewitt at the Queen's Club Championship of 2004. In that match, he lost 7–6 (11), 7–6 (12), having six set points saved in each but also saving multiple set and match points from Hewitt.
