Massa ,Tuscany , he played inSerie A 353 times with 16 goals.Promoted by the AC Milan youth academy who developed him into a left-sided skillful midfielder, Evani was not gifted with great pace or the ability to wizard his way past defenders, but his dependable qualities proved vital to AC Milan, especially during
Arrigo Sacchi 's reign. He was handed his debut at the age of 18 in 1981, wenting on to wear the "Rossoneri" shirt for the next 13 years. His honours while at AC Milan included two promotions fromSerie B , threeSerie A titles, two European Cups, twoItalian Super Cup s, twoEuropean Super Cup s and two Intercontinental Cups, scoring the winner againstAtlético Nacional in their 1989 triumph.When Sacchi was appointed as Italy coach, Evani became an Italy regular too. He played in
1994 FIFA World Cup scoring a penalty kick in the loss to Brazil in the final. He left AC Milan in 1993 to join Sampdoria, staying there for four years until moving at Reggiana and ending his career at Carrarese. Today, Evani has returned to his footballing home, serving as AC Milan's youth team coach for the "Allievi Nazionali" (16 to 17 year old players), being crowned as national champions in 2007. He is undertaking coaching qualifications with the hope to serve as a Serie A head coach someday.
