Controversies

In the first round of the 2007 AFL Season, Wenn came under controversy for awarding a free kick, in the wrong position in a match between the Kangaroos and Collingwood. Shannon Grant from the Kangaroos, was awarded a 50 metre penalty, which should have had him kicking for goal from the goal square instead of 15 meters out. Grant hit the post, resulting in a point, and the kangaroos went on to lose the game by 3 points [cite news|url=http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,21487670-23211,00.html|title=Umps concede crucial mistake|date=2007-04-02]
