National Disaster Management Coordinating Board of Indonesia

Bakornas is the National Disaster Management Coordinating Board of Indonesia (Indonesian: "Badan Koordinasi Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana dan Penanganan Pengungsi"). It was established in 1979 to replace the Advisory Board for Natural Disaster. Bakornas is directly responsible to the president, and is chaired by the Coordinating Minister for People Welfare. It is a coordinating body that does not have implementation or policy-making functions.

It is complemented by Satkorlak on provincial level and Satlak on district level, as well as the Satgas task forces.
