Bob Franken

Bob Franken

Bob Franken is a correspondent for MSNBC. Franken was CNN's primary correspondent in President Clinton's impeachment. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He specializes in political reporting and often uses puns in his commentaries. Franken's contract was not renewed by CNN; as a result, Franken moved to rival MSNBC.

An Emmy-Award winning journalist, Franken gained notable recognition as a news reporter at WJW-TV, then a CBS-TV affiliate in Cleveland, OH. Franken reported on the great blizzards of 1977 and 1978 there, the financial default of the city, the desegregation of the Cleveland Public Schools ruling by late U.S. District Court Judge Frank J. Battisti.

Franken is also a distant cousin of comedian Al Franken.
