Paul Wilson (musician)

Paul Wilson (born 20 October, 1978) grew up in Kinlochleven in the Scottish Highlands. Originally a member of Terra Diablo, he is currently the bass player in the Northern Ireland-based indie rock band Snow Patrol. He occasionally sings backing vocals.

Wilson formerly played both guitar and keyboards for Glasgow-based band Terra Diablo. In March 2005, he replaced longtime member and Snow Patrol co-founder Mark McClelland on bass. He played his first official show with the band in Dingle, County Kerry on 1 April 2005. As a multi-instrumentalist, he was considered an integral part of the creative process on Snow Patrol's 2006 album, "Eyes Open".

An injury to Wilson's left arm and shoulder forced the band to cancel several of their French and Germany shows in late 2006.

It is now rumoured that he is in a relationship with actress Sophia Myles, who has previously dated actor David Tennant.
