Titan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a California biopharmaceutical company. Titan develops proprietary therapeutics for the treatment of central nervous system disorders, cardiovascular disease, bone disease, and other disorders primarily in the United States. Its products in development include probuphine, in Phase III clinical trials for the treatment of opioid dependence; iloperidone, in Phase III for the treatment of schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders; and spheramine, in Phase IIb for the treatment of advanced Parkinson’s disease. The company’s potential products also include DITPA, in Phase II for the treatment of congestive heart failure and hyperlipidemia; and gallium maltolate, in Phase I for the treatment of bone related diseases, chronic bacterial infections, and cancer.

Titan has a strategic alliance with Schering AG for the development of spheramine and Vanda Pharmaceuticals, Inc. for the development of iloperidone. Titan Pharmaceuticals was founded by Louis R.
