Bowie Tupou (born August 3, 1982) is a professional Tongan Heavyweight boxer fighting out of Los Angeles, California.

Biography and career

He was born on August 3 1982 as "Suliasi Tupou Ahio" in NukuOkinaalofa, Tonga and moved to Newtown, New South Wales at age 11. Before becoming a boxer, Bowie played professional rugby league football in Australia for the Penrith Panthers. [cite web

Tupou won the evenly fought battle by a majority decision. Six months later on a rematch with Fitzgerald, Tupou picked up the lightly-regarded New South Wales Heavyweight title.
