Enrique Guaita (
July 11 ,1910 –May 18 ,1959 ) commonly known as "Enrico Guaita" was a dual international footballer who played for Argentina and Italy [ [http://www.rsssf.com/miscellaneous/argital-recintlp.html rsssf: Argentines in the Italy national team] ] . He won the World Cup in 1934 with Italy.He played most of his footballing career in Argentina with Estudiantes and Racing Club, but also played in Italy with Roma where he was nicknamed "Il Corsaro Nero".
Football career
Guaita played for
Racing Club de Avellaneda andEstudiantes de La Plata in Argentina. He moved to Italy, where he played two seasons forA.S. Roma from 1933 to 1935. For the Italian national team he played ten matches (five goals) and scored the only goal in the semifinal match of the1934 FIFA World Cup against Austria, before Italy went on to win the title. He died at only 48 years old.Guaita was one of twelve Argentine players to represent both Argentina (four caps, one goal) and Italy (ten caps, five goals) at national level, before the practice of playing for more than one national team was banned. Along with the likes of Monti, Orsi, Cesarini, Schiavio he represented Italy as one of the "
