a_pattern_s =Ovarense Basketball is a team of professional basketball that plays in Ovar, Portugal. The team plays in the LCB. The Ovarense created its section of basketball there are only 30 years, on the initiative of a member entrepreneur, John Gonçalves, but in this space of time managed to assert itself as one of the standards and the inevitable reference method in Portugal.
History
Between 1976/77 and 1978/79, only six years after the formation of the team, Ovarense third to first ascended the national level, indicating that the vocation for the basketball was strong in Ovar. That was an idea that has gained strength in the following years. The club never fell from division, and the arrival of two extraordinary Americans at the end of the 80, gave him the quality we needed to raise the level above.
