DZR (dezincification resistant brass) is an alloy use to make pipe fittings for use with
potable water .Dezincification is a form of dealloying which typically occurs in
brass alloys containing more than 15%zinc . The zinc in the brass alloy is gradually dissolved out.Dezincification can be caused by water containing
sulfur ,carbon dioxide andoxygen . Stagnant or low velocity waters tend to promote dezincification.External links
