OFSET is a community of volunteers willing to develop and to enhance free software for education. OFSET believes the success of free software in education can be achieved with open and frank collaboration between teachers, software developers, translators, and authors.
OFSET is incorporated as an organisation in France but it is a multi-cultural entity with founding members all over the World. OFSET is run using the Internet as the main medium of communication between the members of the administration council. OFSET is also a non-profit organisation that aims for transparency in decision making processes.
OFSET is an associate organisation of Free Software Foundation Europe.
