Charles Fort Institute

The Charles Fort Institute is an effort by a group of Forteans to create “the world's leading resource for scholarship and research in the understanding of strange experiences and anomalous phenomena.” [ [http://www.forteana.org The Charles Fort Institute ] ] Founded in 1998 by Fortean Times editor Bob Rickard, the institute is currently seeking charitable status.

Future plans

Members of the institute hope to create a permanent reference collection for those studying anomalous phenomena in the form of; a museum to preserve case related evidence, relics and objects of Fortean interest, a library of books about strange phenomena and other Fortean topics and an extensive archive of relevant newspaper clippings, magazines and periodicals.
