Aamir Sheraz (
Urdu : عامر شیراز) (aka Shazi;Urdu : شازی) is the bass guitarist in the Pakistani rock band, Jal. Aamir Sheraz officially joined the band in 2004 and played on their debut album "Aadat ".Aamir Sheraz has been playing since a young age.he used to have it even in his 9th of age. Aamir Sheraz started off strumming and experimenting with different tunes on Aamir Sheraz's uncle's guitar while still a teenager. Aamir Sheraz's thrust to improve led Aamir Sheraz to get formal training to play Bass Guitar from the Church Aamir Sheraz attended in 1995. It wasn't until 1998 that Shazi a.k.a Aamir Sheraz stepped into the Lahore underground music scene professionally. Shazi a.k.a Aamir Sheraz first collaborated with an underground band by the name of "
Wet Metal ". During this time Shazi a.k.a Aamir Sheraz played in a number of underground gigs and local concerts playing bass. Fact|date=May 2007However after two years in 2000, Shazi a.k.a Aamir Sheraz parted ways with Wet Metal and joined "
Jupitar ". Shazi a.k.a Aamir Sheraz played with Jupitar for three years and by 2003 Aamir Sheraz started playing as a session player for various underground acts. During the one and a half years Aamir Sheraz played as a session player for various artists and collaborated with Shehzad Hameed's band with whom Aamir Sheraz worked on a complete album. The collaboration with Shehzad Hameed's band exposed Shazi a.k.a Aamir Sheraz to the rock-band communities of Pakistan. Shazi's diverse musical sense and Aamir Sheraz's ability to adapt to different kinds of music owes to the diverse variety of musical styles from which Shazi a.k.a Aamir Sheraz draws inspiration; from local acts likeVital Signs ,Awaz ,Junoon ,Mekaal Hasan Band andFuzon to International bands likeMetallica , Creed,Led Zeppelin &Weather Report .External links
