stadium inTaichung ,Taiwan . Built in1935 during theTaiwan under Japanese rule era, this stadium has been repeatly refurbished and currently can seat 10,500 people. This stadium has been the home of professional baseball teams such asJungo Bears (1993 ~1995 ), Sinon Bears(first half1996 ), andSinon Bulls (second half 1996~present) ofChinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL), andTaichung Agan (1997 ~2002 ) ofTaiwan Major League (TML).This stadium has long been a part of the
National Taiwan College of Physical Education 's campus and caused certain inconvenience when hosting professional baseball games. A new baseball stadium, theTaichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium , opened in November 2006 to host the2006 Intercontinental Cup , and it will most likely be the new home of theSinon Bulls starting in2008 season. When this happens, Taichung Baseball Field may no longer host professional baseball games and only be used for educational and training purposes.
