John P. Anton

John P. Anton (born November 2, 1920) is Distinguished Professor of Greek Philosophy and Culture at the University of South Florida. He studied at Columbia University and earned his B.S, M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy, including three Honorary Doctorates from the University of Athens, the University of Patras, and the University of Ioannina. His areas of specialization are Classical Greek Philosophy, History of Philosophy, American Philosophy, Philosophy of Art, and Metaphysics.
