Naum Eitingon

Naum Eitingon

Naum Isaakevich Eitingon (December 1, 1899-1981) was a Soviet NKVD officer who rose to the rank of Major-General, Deputy Head of S Directorate, Ministry of State Security. Though known chiefly for his role in masterminding the assassination of Trotsky, he participated in a wide range of espionage operations throughout his thirty year career in Soviet foreign intelligence.
