The Prix Maurice de Nieuil is a Group 2 flat horse race in France open to thoroughbreds which are four-years-old or above. It is presently run over a distance of 2,800 metres (approximately 1¾ miles) at Longchamp Racecourse, and it takes place annually in July.

It was first run in 1920 as the Prix des Maréchaux, named in honour of the French and Allied marshals ("maréchaux") of World War I. Open to three-year-olds and above, the race originally took place at Saint-Cloud and was initially run over a distance of 3,100 metres. This was cut to 2,800 metres in 1928 and to 2,600 metres in 1936.

The race was not run in 1940, but took place throughout the remainder of World War II, usually at Longchamp over 2,500 metres. Other temporary venues during this period were Tremblay in 1943 and Maisons-Laffitte in 1946.

When it returned to Saint-Cloud in 1947 the race was given a new title, the Prix de Strasbourg. At this point the regular distance of the race was reduced to 2,500 metres. The present title was introduced in 1949 in memory of Maurice de Nieuil, a former chairman of the "Société Sportive d'Encouragement", who died earlier that year.

In 1990 the Prix Maurice de Nieuil switched to a new venue, Maisons-Laffitte. Two significant changes were made in 2001 – three-year-olds were excluded and the distance was raised to 2,800 metres. It has continued at this length with the exception of the 2004 running, which was contested over 3,000 metres. The race arrived at its present home, Longchamp, in 2006.
