- Philip Coppens (crystallographer)
Philip Coppens is a chemist and crystallographer.
Coppens received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the
University of Amsterdam . He is a SUNY Distinguished Professor and holder of the Henry M. Woodburn Chair of Chemistry at theState University of New York at Buffalo . He is a Corresponding Member of theRoyal Dutch Academy of Sciences and has been awarded theGregori Aminoff Prize of theRoyal Swedish Academy of Sciences in 1996, and theEwald Prize of theInternational Union of Crystallography in 2005.
